How We Work
By providing rescue, adoption, and offering low cost spay/neuter options, we are able to connect with our community and enrich the lives of our pet population.
SNIPSA is a non-profit organization formed by a group of veterinarians and caring individuals dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted animals. Through the collaborative efforts of VOLUNTEERS, we have re-homed more than 15,000 dogs and cats and provided over 16,500 free spay and neuter surgeries.
We LOVE our Volunteers!
Volunteers are the heartbeat of SNIPSA
We completely depend on a network of VOLUNTEERS to help manage adoption events, assist with administrative duties, foster and rehabilitate animals in their homes and an endless list of daily needs. We rely on the time, effort, and kind hearts of volunteers to accomplish the things we do. Each year we rescue over 1000 animals from dire situations off the streets and from local animal shelters. We spay/neuter, vaccinate, and microchip more than 2500 animals annually residing in low income areas of town that would otherwise continue to reproduce and contribute to San Antonio’s huge stray population. We do all of this because of YOU, our volunteers.
