About the Assignment
We’re seeking a qualified business development rep to extend our reach through discovery and exploration of new and untapped business opportunities and relationships. Our ideal candidate will be trusted to take the lead, use initiative, and help build the Social Enterprise program. Highly skilled at sales and business operations, this person will join and inspire a team of like-minded go-getters to achieve the SAAAC Autism Centre’s vision.

What to Expect
The Business Development Rep is the face of the Social Enterprise Program. This individual will combine product marketing and sales to grow the program. This role is also responsible for the growth and maintenance of fundraising revenues that support the Centre’s strategic vision and fund development strategies and goals. Financial and in-kind support will be achieved through building relationships and securing support with current individual and corporate donors and sponsors as well as new prospective supporters.
Responsibilities
• Manage existing sales pipeline
• Develop and nurture new business opportunities and partnerships
• Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies
• Promote and advocate for the organization and the Social Enterprise Program
• Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, and lead and facilitate pitch logistics
• Develop and implement outbound sales and business development strategy, and sales processes
• Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations
• Key point of contact to outside vendors, donors, and local community partners.
• Assists with the planning and implementation of fundraising programs and special events as well as subsequent communications with both internal and external key stakeholders.
• Represent SAAAC in a positive and professional manner
Qualifications
• Experience in sales and retail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working experience with sales techniques
• Ability to interact effectively with the community and develop relationships with local businesses and organizations.
• Proficient computer skills in MS Office applications.
• Demonstrated technical experience in the realm of social media.
