About the Event
Located in beautiful Lakeshore Park in West Knoxville, New Ground is a multi-stage music festival focused on a new generation of music featuring nationally and regionally touring talent. Our purpose is to provide emerging local artists a chance to put themselves in front of a larger audience, with bigger artists, and get real festival experience. A portion of our proceeds will support student-led XHunger Clubs, and club members can earn service hours for volunteering at the festival.

Last year, we brought Briston Maroney, Illiterate Light, Nordista Freeze and more - making New Ground II the highest attended music festival in Knoxville since the spring of 2019. In year 3, we are expanding to two full days, featuring performances by The Vegabonds, Flipturn, The Nude Party, and more. We hope to create an even better experience, and need your help to do so!

We are looking for cheerful volunteers who are interested in event organization, festival/concert production, artist management, customer service, vendor/sponsor relations, and/or stage, lighting, and audio production. All skillsets are useful!

The New Ground staff is a family of volunteers and industry professionals who are always willing to go the extra mile. We are always looking for people who are confident decision makers that listen well to instruction and can then use their judgment regarding whether or not to ask questions about every detail.

All jobs will require general set up for morning shift and general cleanup for evening shifts. All Volunteers must work a full day (2 shifts), whether that be in one day or split across the 4 days.

If you are looking to participate as a Vendor, Sponsor, Artist, Media, Press or Attendee, this is NOT the correct form for you! This is for Volunteer sign-up ONLY, please visit www.newgroundfestival.com or send us an email to be pointed in the right direction!
