With Growing Places Indy
Event Details
9 November - 25 April 2020
Soundspace, 1125 E Brookside Ave
Indianapolis, IN, United States
About the Event
To teach as part of our IWFM yoga series, you will need to be a Certified Yoga Instructor with at least 200 RYT.

The Class:
All-levels class at the Growing Places Indy Winter Farmers Market (IWFM), (inside Soundspace). This class is offered by-donation with all donations going toward our market's SNAP matching program.

You'll arrive 20 minutes before class to check in at the IWFM welcome booth, grab a few materials for class, put your mat down at Soundspace, and get your music going.

We will have extra mats guests of the class can borrow at no charge. As people arrive you'll simply ask them to sign in on the clipboard. A Growing Places Indy staff member will greet the class at 10am and explain what the yoga series is all about and introduce you. The class itself will run from 10am-10:45am.

After class you'll help gather any borrowed mats and return items to the welcome table.

What to Expect:
Students of all-levels FUN and uplifting time with Indy community. A chance to shop at the IWFM.

Your Impact:
Donations form this class series feed directly into our market's TRIPLE SNAP matching program. That means that SNAP shoppers who visit the market will have the chance to have $20 turn into $60... a huge benefit to them. That means you are helping us continue to provide access to fresh local food to ALL members of our community. Also, we have seen an awesome regular crowd start to develop in our yoga series, which means to us that people are finding great benefit in joining for this weekly practice, and we could not be more thrilled!

Thank you for teaching!

Available Roles
Yoga Instructor
The year-long yoga class series (sponsored by lululemon Indianapolis) is part of the GPI mission to provide mind-body education. All donations from this class series go to help fund our GPI SNAP matching program, which provides opportunity for everyone to have access to fresh local food. As the teacher, we ask you to provide a welcoming, all-levels class in your style. Class is 45-60 minutes long at our farm (727 N. Oriental Street) from 5:30pm-6:30pm. GPI staff will chat with the class for a couple minutes prior to starting to inform students about GPI and the donation component. We would also love assistance from you to market on your social media channels etc. about the class you'll be teaching. Every effort to help expand our student base is very much appreciated. When you arrive to teach please check in at the farm stand then feel free to setup on the platform. We have a very simple portable speaker but if you have your own, feel free to bring it. GPI will provide loaner mats at no cost to students.
