About the Event
Friends are needed as ushers for Shakespeare Festival St. Louis' new program, IN THE WORKS! We'll present three new plays inspired by the works of William Shakespeare, at The Grandel:

INTO THE BREECHES! "A hilarious and heartwarming look at the WWII home front and a group of ladies left behind who band together to keep the local theater going with their very own production of HENRY V. "

Family matinees of A MOST OUTRAGEOUS FIT OF MADNESS, a delightful new play for young audiences, inspired by the mistaken identity hijinks of THE COMEDY OF ERRORS.

Staged readings of THE THOUSAND NATURAL SHOCKS, a moving coming-of-age story about a teenage boy who finds strength and resilience through a high school production of HAMLET.

Friends will act as ushers, arriving one hour before each performance to support the House Management team in minimal set-up, assist patrons, and distribute playbills. One Specialist will be needed for each performance as well, to act as Volunteer Coordinator. Volunteers will be able to join the audience once the show begins to enjoy the play.
