“One of the best experiences was when all of the ambassadors united during Typhoon Yolanda and the Haiyan aftermath. We provided healthy and freshly cooked meals for the victims of Tacloban and Samar.

About Us
Our Mission:
The Food Revolution is an ongoing, global campaign to provoke debate and inspire positive, meaningful change in the way we access, consume and understand food. Every May, we hold Food Revolution Day to celebrate success, raise awareness and invite more people, businesses and governments to join us!
The Jamie Oliver Food Foundation
Access to good, fresh, real food and the basic skills to cook it has the power to transform lives, and that is what the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation is all about.
From our food education programmes delivered at a local level, to our national and international campaigns that influence policy on key issues, we aim to revolutionise the way people feed themselves, and their families.

Every year on Food Revolution Day, we celebrate success and shout about what needs to improve to further galvanise governments and industry to help us drive positive change in food education and public health.

We can’t do this alone. The Food Revolution will only succeed with the support of people and organisations who can widen our reach and help us to both understand people’s behaviour and the effectiveness of what we do.
Food Revolution Day
We’re in the middle of a global health crisis. Right now, 41 million children under five are overweight, while another 159 million are too undernourished to grow properly. We’re failing our children and future generations by not arming them with the right food and skills they need to grow healthily and happily.

Meaningful change is built from the ground up. We celebrate the joy of food, we educate people and communities to make better food choices and we inspire them to come together as one voice to lobby governments and businesses to make positive, lasting change.

You can get involved by
Campaigning for better school food policy and standards.
Raising awareness through social media, blogging and recipe sharing. Fundraising and supporting Jamie’s projects or starting your own initiative

Choose something that excites and inspires you. Your local groups and local ambassadors should be able to get you started, and will acquaint you with the current events and campaigns in your local area!

You don’t have to just stick to these exact actions though, if you have other ideas or are already working on other initiatives then great, just let us know what you have planned!
The Ambassador program
This programme exists to give you a unique opportunity to join a global food movement and to provide a local and individual campaigning platform for better food knowledge and cooking skills.

We want to make as much noise as possible to raise awareness about the impact of diet-related disease and the importance of food education. We also want to connect individuals and communities locally and internationally to achieve sustainable change and to support initiatives and events that sustain and grow food education awareness and programs. Stay connected and get involved!

“The Ambassador Program has provided me with a channel to communicate shared ideals. Cooking used to be intuitive, something passed on from mother to daughter. Many years after leaving the beautiful Italian countryside I have seen that knowing how to cook is no longer common knowledge. I want to share my family tradition by passing on my cooking skills through the international network of the Food Revolution Community. My goal is to inspire by giving.” -
