About the Assignment
The residential life manager is an on-site, live in position that is responsible for enacting the Elijah Rising Restoration Care program on a daily basis. This means assisting the Program Director in the planning, implementing, monitoring, advocating, and coordinating of the direct care of the residents, as well as modeling healthy communication and social interaction. Daily responsibilities include household management, establishing trust and relationships with residents, working to identify individual resident needs, maintaining documentation, tracking resident progress, supervising residential staff and volunteers, and advising Action Team.

This is a full-time position, with hours beginning at Sundays at 8:00 pm through Fridays at 12:00 pm.
  • Lives on site at the residential campus Monday-Friday and facilitates the care of residents, supervision of staff, and overall management of the household.
  • Provides crisis assistance as needed, including overnight, while on duty.
  • Is available to oversee group classes and discussions when needed.
  • Assists with intake and orientation of new residents.
  • Participates in evaluations and assessments of residents, as well as any discipline or discharge measures.
  • Reports any and all significant actions, including but not limited to abuse, neglect, excessive conflict, flagrant disrespect,
violence, dishonesty, or theft on the part of either residents or staff, to the Program Director and appropriate action is taken.
  • Consults with medical/dental/vision/mental health providers regarding resident treatment plans.
  • Assist volunteer mentors, group leaders, or anyone working with the residents in some capacity.
  • Lead staff meetings and work to promote healthy team communication and cohesion.
  • Regularly review resident progress with Program Director.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • One to two years of victim services experience, preferably trauma-informed
  • General knowledge of social work practices, specific knowledge of trauma
  • Minimum 2 years of management/supervisory experience
  • Good computer skills and the ability to quickly learn client management software
Must Have
  • Must be extremely flexible, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Must have excellent communication skills, and be culturally competent in interactions
  • Must be detail oriented to maintain scheduling and accurate tracking and reporting of program metrics
  • Must be able to speak in front of people, present training and/or instruction to volunteers and staff
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license and valid vehicle insurance
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening as well as periodic drug screenings while employed
  • Must be able to pass all criminal background screenings
