About the Assignment
Buddy Builders Classes are offered twice a month for parents and their children under the age of three. Parents and children engage in fun activities that have been adapted so that all children can participate in a meaningful way. Once a month, parents meet with staff during class time to learn about resources, get their questions answered and provide support to each other. Children continue to play under the supervision of staff and volunteers.

Must enjoy working with young children and their parents
Must have active background check on file
What You’ll Be Doing
Playing and singing with children and parents
Working with children with visual impairments and varying abilities
Preparing supplies for activities
Caring for children while parents are meeting nearby, under the director of a teacher
Cleaning up after class
Nice to Have
To increase the comfort level of the parents and children, it is preferred that volunteers commit to returning to the class with some frequency throughout the year.
