Our Mission:
Deck the Wards is a brand new charity based in South East London.
We donate boxes of fun, exciting and comforting items to child and adolescent psychiatric hospitals during the holiday periods.
We need volunteers to help us with a wide range of tasks - let us know how you can help!

As a small charity, there are plenty of ways for you to get involved - there's always an opportunity to help with something.
Deck the Wards is run entirely by volunteers. This means that we are reliant on volunteers kindly donating their spare time, expertise and skills.
We are always looking for people who are willing to help us out with a wide range of tasks. This means help with everything from blogging, to fundraising, to accounting.
Our volunteers can choose what they'd like to help us with - it all depends on you.

Volunteering with Deck the Wards is easy and flexible.
We don't require a minimum level of commitment from our volunteers.
Instead, we create shifts for the tasks we need help with so that volunteers can sign up to what they like, when they like.
There are 3 main ways to volunteer with us.
1. Visit our 'Events' and 'Assignments' pages and sign up for the event or task which interests you.
This is where we advertise particular tasks we'd like help with. Here you can sign up to whatever opportunity would suit you, as often as you would like.
2. Can't find anything that suits you? Let us know how you'd like to help!
Use our 'sign up' form to tell us about your skills, interests and exactly how you'd like to help. Everyone has something different to offer, and we'd be delighted to hear from you.
3. Come along to one of our Volunteers meetings to find out more.
We get together on the first Tuesday of every month to chat about what the charity is up to, as well as any volunteering opportunities. See our Events page for more!
