Festival For Life
With Colorado Health Network
Event Details
21 August 2021
1900 E 11th Ave
Denver, CO, 80206, United States
About the Event
With so many people living longer and healthier lives with HIV, it’s only fitting we join together to celebrate the lives of those who are impacted by HIV and the incredible strides made in treatment and prevention strategies. The Festival also serves as an opportunity for remembrance to those we have lost from AIDS-related complications and to celebrate the lasting impact they made on those whose lives they touched.

This year’s benefit is a little different from previous years, as the Race and Walk are both virtual activities. The Festival portion of the event will be located in and around the Cheesman Park Pavilion between the hours of 9 am and 3 pm. that Saturday.

This year’s event will feature the “SUN Bus” providing free skin cancer screenings and education, provided by the Colorado Melanoma Foundation. In addition, the Denver Public Health is providing free HIV and limited STI testing. The Colorado Black Health Collaborative and staff from CHN are providing free oral health and blood pressure screenings.

Additionally, the Festival will include music, youth activities and a display of quilt panels from the National AIDS Memorial Quilt.

This year's event is open to the public from 9 am through 1 pm. However, a number of the volunteer opportunities either begin earlier than 9am and end by 3 pm.

Thank you!
