About the Event
Usher in Spring with the City of Lewisville at COLORPALOOZA. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age and complete necessary volunteer waiver.

This popular event seeks to celebrate the best of arts and culture. Featuring Chalk This Way, where the best professional chalk artists create amazing works of art right before your eyes. Live music and dance performances, artististic demonstrations, EcoAlley and more! Food Vendors and Artisans (selling handcrafted items) representing various cultures/countries. Great family fun!

Available Roles
Cultural Dressing Room Monitor
This position will check in cultural dance groups, and be responsible for monitoring access to the Cultural Stage Dressing Area which will be just inside an entrance to City Hall. You will make sure performers have access to the Restroom areas and will work to maintain a safe environment indoors. You will also make sure that access indoors is restricted to only those performing and not the general public.
Decorated Recycle Bin Pick Up
This position will be responsible for moving decorated Recycle Bins from the festival zone to the The Grand hallways at the conclusion of the event.
Decorated Recycle Bin Set Up
This position will be responsible for bringing our decorated Recycle Bins outside to Wayne Ferguson Plaza and placing them in various locations, on the early morning of the event.
DJ School Attendant
This volunteer job will have you working along side the professional DJs who will be instructing our DJ School Experience. This post is indoors at the Lewisville Grand Black Box Theatre. You will be responsible for taking direction from the DJs on how to assist guests, maintaining wait lines, and maybe even dropping a beat of your own!
FRIDAY APRIL 21st- Water Feature Assembly
***NOTE THIS POSITION IS FOR FRIDAY, APRIL 21st AND NOT EVENT DAY.*** This position will be responsible for prepping large foam flowers on bricks to be placed in the Wayne Ferguson Plaza water feature.
Information Booth
Seeking enthusiastic and energetic volunteers to staff our event information booth. You will be responsible for assisting guests with event information. First shift will assist City Staff with booth set up. Second shift will be responsible for booth tear down.
Interactive Arts & Crafts Assistant
Volunteers in this position will assist the vendor in offering various interactive arts & crafts activities to the public.
Vendor Check In/ Parking Lot Attendant
Work with City staff to help vendors find their vendor spots during the morning load in. This job requires mostly standing and walking.
