Our Mission:
Beautiful Together Animal Sanctuary is a non-profit organization that rescues animals who have been abused, neglected, or abandoned and gives them the care they need while we work to find them loving homes. With a focus on empathy-building and pet therapy, we connect animals in need of refuge with children living in foster care, at-risk situations, or in underserved communities.
Our goal is simple:
To connect the vulnerable and the voiceless in purposeful ways that benefit us all.
For the past six years, Beautiful Together has focused on supporting children waiting for families through a variety of tangible projects in the United States and Africa. Along the way, we have repeatedly witnessed the incredible therapeutic connection that children make with animals. As our 83-acre Sanctuary is taking shape, we are creating site programs for children in foster care, group homes, and at-risk situations that are designed to build and leverage the magic that happens when children and animals connect. These programs will involve children visiting the animals, helping to care for them, and spending time in “pet therapy” sessions: bottle feeding kittens, socializing puppies, brushing horses – and so much more.
