About the Assignment
A community league is a volunteer group of neighbours who band together to form a non-profit society with the goal to better the neighbourhood for the whole community. There are many ways to get involved in the community league from joining the board to working on committees to connecting on your block. Check out the opportunities and events on this Timecount volunteer hub as well as all the information on our website www.albertaave.org.

Individual Membership: $10
Family Membership: $20 (two adults and their dependent children)
Seniors 65+ years: Free

Payment can be made in our online store, via eTransfer to info@albertaave.org, or during office hours. Once payment is received your application will be approved and you will be sent your card and further information.

Free access to all league-run community skating rinks in the city with your skate tags.
Community league soccer registration
EFCL promotion discounts
15% off city recreation facility multi-passes or 20% off monthly/annual passes
Vote at your league’s annual general meeting and/or run for the league board

Additional Alberta Avenue league benefits:
Free access to Commonwealth Recreation Centre on Saturdays from 5-7 pm and Sundays from 1 -3 pm.

What to Expect
The majority of our communication with our members is done through our E-Newsletter. We will add your email to the list when you purchase a membership. You can unsubscribe at anytime using the link at the bottom of the email you receive. You can also subscribe different email address from our website home page albertaavenue.org.

Our Annual General Meeting is held in April. All resident members are entitled to vote and run for a position on the board. The league is managed by an 11 member of board of directors. Board meetings are held monthly on the second Tuesday. Members are welcome to attend and observe. If you wish to bring an item for discussion to a board meeting or if you are interested in joining the board, please contact president@albertaave.org.
